Can you name a movie series where the second movie was better than the first?

Are there any? And is it worth it for Hollywood to make sequels? I'm usually disappointed, with the exception of Terminator.

Reply:Terminator is a good example. A lot of people consider Rocky II and Godfather II as equals to the premieres of the series. I agree with the poster who said Star Trek II, but the original Star Wars is my favorite in that series.
