have you considered Josiah instead of Joshua? it is much the same so still honering the father but giving the child his own name

Reply:Traditionally middle names are supposed to come from the family history. You can pick the name of a male relative like your father or grandfather, for example. It would be good to have something from your side since the baby's first and last name will be the same as his father's.
