First name spelled wrong in my marriage license!?

I'm applying for Green Card right now and my first name spelled different ways: on my visa and passport it's Natalia, on my marriage license, ID, SSN it's Natalya! Is that gonna cause me any troubles?Should I change my marriage license? And which name to use when I filling up papers for Green card?

Have it all corrected to you legal name as soon as possible. I'd get started now. This CAN cause problems and not just with your greencard. I had a friend stuck in Russia recently because he had a name with a letter in it that was not in the Russian alphabet so someone "fudged" a different letter into his name on the Visa. As a result, his Visa and his passport didn't match. He had to stay in Russia an additional month while the Visa was corrected.
Reply:You should use your legal name, however it is spelled. As for a passport and visa, I know you can apply for a name-change fairly easily - the others should not be hard, either. Your marriage license, on the other hand, I don't know about. It would depend on if it is a state-issued license or church (or tribe) issued one. You probably don't actually NEED to have that changed, but again, you could. Just call the appropriate office (depending on which one you are changing).

I can't offer you any phone numbers because I don't know your country of origin, nor the state that issued your license(s).
Reply:It shouldn't cause you problems - just explain to them that everyone spells it differently.

My mom's name is Maren - and sometimes she gets stuff in the mail for "Mary, Maureen, Moron(really, yes.), Margret, Karen" it's weird. lol.
